Let me start off this bio by saying how much I hate writing bios. :3
There is so much to tell about a person. That's why people fill whole books with that sort of thing. To start off, I guess I'll try and stay with who I am as far as art is concerned, since I doubt you want to know my opinion on Plato versus Hobbes as philosophy goes.
Art, I believe, is nothing more and nothing less than the seizure of an idea and the expression of that idea through one medium or another. Art is subjective and objective all at once. It is that duality, the "push-me pull-you" of art that I truly try to find and appreciate in everything I see. I have something in common with Beatrix Potter in that very often I will see beauty in something before I realize what it is that I am so fascinated with. That said, I find myself interested (sometimes dreadfully) in taking the interest that I find and making it obvious to others.
It is that interest that makes me who I am- as an artist and as a person. I want to do everything by wholes- feet first, deep end.
As far as media goes, I dabble in anything I can get my hands on, but my passions are sewing (costuming and quilts), beadwork (see also sewing), jewelry(Native American beadwork and chainmail) and ceramics(slab, pinch and throwing).
I write more fantasy and fiction than is good for me.
